Mackenzie Nazworth

Mackenzie is a recent graduate from Dean College where she received a BA in Dance with a Pedagogy Concentration and a Psychology minor. While at Dean, she held the position of President for the Loose Screws and was a member of several other organizations including the Dean College Step Team. She also was a choreographer and performer in many shows during her time, as well as receiving awards including the Emerging Artist Award ‘22 and the Artistic Excellence Award ‘24 from the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance for her work. Through her studies, Mackenzie focused her studies on teaching various genres/demographics of dance including pedagogy courses in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, creative movement, Laban Movement Analysis, and men’s ballet technique. Before college, she was a member of Rhythmic Souls Tap Company run by Katelyn Harris, where she continues to perform with the Pro Company during their seasonal shows. She also performed ballet soloists/lead roles such as Giselle, Carabosse, and Aurora through her home studio in Dallas, TX. Mackenzie is excited to begin the next chapter of her teaching journey at The Dance Inn, where she can implement her love of musicality, community, and passion for dance into every style she teaches. She hopes that her love of dance will shine through her teaching and inspire her students to gain an appreciation for dance in whatever avenue they choose!
