The Dance Inn has offered dance programs for preschoolers through adults since 1983. Classes are available for both the recreational dancer and the pre-professional student in disciplines such as tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop and contemporary. With an emphasis on creativity and technique, the annual recital brings families together in an entertaining celebration of dance, where students are showcased in a non-competitive, uplifting performance where every student shines! The classroom experience focuses on sharing the love of dancing while building a solid technical foundation—dancers of all ages and ability levels gain the tools to express themselves with confidence and joy.

We invite you to explore our website to see all of our offerings and news, or stop by the studio to see us. We have locations in both Lexington and Arlington, MA.

Director's Note

I opened The Dance Inn because I love teaching dance. Since the day I opened my doors my goals and mission have largely remained the same:  to provide the finest dance training and programming possible to children and adults. Regardless of age or ability, I believe that each student has the innate capacity to experience all that dance has to offer: a unique connection to one's body, an opportunity to joyfully move as a musical instrument, and a life-long membership in a worldwide artistic community. The benefits are endless. Whether in the classroom, in a local community event, on a Broadway stage, or in their day-to-day lives, what I love most about my students is seeing them engage in life with confidence and joy, willing to take risks and, as I say to my adult students, "...aging rhythmically." Although the number of students has changed and we now have more classrooms, more teachers and more performances, what remains the same is my passion for teaching.

My hope is that The Dance Inn continues to be a home away from home for both the recreational dancer and the aspiring professional and that our students continue to share and experience the joy of dance throughout their lives.
