Class Descriptions
Introducing dance to young children is an honor and a responsibility we
assume with joy, enthusiasm, and professionalism. We respect
each child’s individuality and strive to make the first experiences
with dance POSITIVE and FUN! We offer 3 different
levels based on age. Each class is designed to meet
the individual needs of its students while taking into account their emotional
maturity, attention span, and developmental stage.
GOALS
The primary goals for our pre-school program are for
each child to . . .
- Love dance and
feel joy in movement,
- Feel inspired
to explore dance as a form of personal expression,
- Master basic
coordination skills,
- increase their
musical awareness,
- Acquire basic
rhythm skills,
- Appreciate dance
as an art to be enjoyed and embraced,
- Improve overall
wellness through participation in activities that challenge
body and mind, and
- Grow in self-esteem!
CLASS FORMAT
A typical pre-school class is divided into several short

about proper dance etiquette results in self-discipline, friendly
cooperation and an important sense of security and trust in the
